Atleast one of us is sleeping...

So I'm wide awake so I figure I might as well post. The DH has been in Florida all week on business. I've had a fabulous week reducing my list of things to do from about 45 items to about 5. I'm allieviating the guilt of taking her to daycare by telling myself that for her to take two weeks off from daycare would make it very hard for her to go back (her daycare was closed last week). She's got back into the swing of things and her and I have a day of laying around and bonding planned for tomorrow. And then on Friday I plan to take her to daycare again so I can finally start her scrapbook. I'm hoping once it's started I will find the time to keep going on it.

So apparently absence does not make HIS heart grow fonder. I've been lucky to get about 9 seconds a night on the phone with him. I emailed him pictures of his sweet daughter and he has been way too busy to look at them. Grrr. And when he IS on the phone with me he is distracted and mumbling so I can't hear a word he says!

So far I LOVE my new camera. If anyone is looking for one, I bought mine here. It was a great price and was free shipping. It came in just 3 days and has so many fun features that I'll never learn half of them. I'm having a hard time taking a clear picture - I get way more blurry than clear - but when they are clear - they are REALLY clear. I can't wait to try it out this weekend. Shawn's brother, Pete, gets married on Saturday morning and then Sonya's mom Saturday night.

I was hoping to get my 50 + items that I have to list on ebay done this week but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I will pretty much do anything to avoid listing ebay stuff. I actually think I'd rather eat vegetables than list ebay. To point out the great lengths at which I'll go to avoid ebay I'll just tell you that I actually cleaned out the garage today. We emptied the contents of our storage units into our garage and there it has been ever since. Shawn can't even park in there it's so full of crap. So today for 4 1/2 hours I cleaned and organized. I'm not telling the DH so that it will be a surprise when he gets home.

11:30 and the peanut is up and crying. This is early for her tonight. I didn't give her baby food at dinner time so I'm sure she's hungrier than usual. Darcy and I went to Applebee's so all she had was a pickle. :) She's loves pickles. Off to feed her back to sleep...

Ch-Ch-Ch-Cha Changes (Part 30)

So many cute pictures to post and for some odd reason my stubborn computer only lets me put one on per post. Wierd.
So... again... so many changes in my life.
First of all - I just ordered a Canon Powershot S2 IS digital camera. Eeek. It's a big purchase to make online - hopefully I made the right choice in stores. And cameras. My humble Kodak Easyshare 4.0 mp finally kicked the bucket when the door to the battery broke off. It was fate because I really wanted more zoom (my kodak is 4x optical/ 4 x digital) but couldn't justify spending the money when my camera worked fine. I just spent $300 on the new one. Tell me I'll love it. Yes, I'll love it. There was another factor in my hurry-up-and-get-a-new-camera decision: Sonya's mom's wedding. It's next Saturday night and I'm taking the pictures. I was going to borrow my sister's 5 mp Easyshare for the occassion (which has 10x zoom) but I'm hoping that the extra $7 I paid in shipping will get me my new 12x zoom Powershot in time. And before you tell me I should've sprung for the Digital Rebel (my DREAM camera)... I'm too poor for that. So instead just tell me how great the one I bought is. :)
I got yet ANOTHER new job. 7 + years with the same company and the past 3 or so years I've changed jobs 3 times. I was approached by someone I used to work with and offered a position I couldn't really pass up. It's with a kick-ass company in which I will be sure to go straight to the poorhouse via employee discount. I will be buying product for this store - much like my previous position - and then merchandising it - also much like a different previous position. I am praying that I like it. It will mean working weekends again (blah) but with that also comes a weekday off to make appointments, do banking, etc. I have next week off and then the following week I start my new job. I really liked the people that I worked with at the last job - and the new job means commuting well over an hour each way for the next 4 or so months - so I certainly had a tough decision. But hopefully I made the right choice. Time will tell...

Blissful baby...

Dear Rylee, (a.k.a. Rylee Rylerton, Rylee Ry, Ry Ry, Bubby, Peanut, Pumpkin, Ham) You are so much fun these days!! Yesterday you turned 7 months old and you act and look like you're 12 months old. You have had such a big month and we are loving every minute of it! You are keeping us SOOOO busy - in fact mom has neglected just about everything else in life. You're still doing great in daycare and eating like a champ. You love papaya, green beans, peas, prunes and turkey vegetable dinner. You still aren't crazy about cereal. You think that I'm trying to poison you every time I give you a fruit or veggie puff and let it sit on the back of your tongue until it gags you and you throw up. You try to eat everything that we're eating and have started throwing a tantrum if we don't give you some. You have even tried and like lemons and pickles. I refuse to give you any ice cream because of your allergy and I know that once you get a taste you will throw a fit if you can't have more. And I just can't say no to you. Not yet. So instead I won't give you a bite. It's better that you don't know what you're missing. I have switched you from Enfamil Nutramigen to Prosobee and we are so happy that you're doing okay with it since how it saves us a small fortune.
Everywhere we go you cause so much attention. You love people and smile at everyone. Everyone comments about what a good natured and happy baby you are (and of course how darn cute you are!). You are such a sweet girl. This month you have learned so much. You know how to turn off and on the Fisher Price aquarium toy on your crib and you do this ALL THE TIME. I will hear it turn on in the middle of the night and look over at my monitor (which i LOVE and every new mom should have, btw) and see you turning it off and on. This it the first month that you sit up extremely well. You also hold the bottle on your own, clap, say "mama" and "dada" and you're pretty much crawling. When the little duckie in your porta-crib stops you know to pull the cord to start him up again. You are so smart and silly.
Big developments have happened in the sleep department this month! You have been sleeping in your own crib in your own room. Your bedtime has changed from 11 pm to 9 pm and instead of getting up every hour you get up 1-2 times. At the beginning of the month you got up at 12:30 and 2:30 like clockwork and the last week you get up once between those hours. It is so amazing to see you wake up in your own crib and play on your own. You greet us with the biggest smile in the morning. Last Saturday we took you to see your first drive-in movie. We saw "Cars" and you cuddled in the backseat watching the movie with Kayla until you fell asleep. At the end of the movie we put you in your carseat - moving you to your crib when we got home and then you slept through the night for the first time. You slept from 9 pm to 8 am and were so happy and playing when I woke up and looked at the monitor.
This week your daycare was closed for vacation again so you have been juggled around by some very helpful loved ones. Your Auntie Darcy took you on Monday, your meme on Tuesday and your grammie on Wednesday/ Thursday. Tomorrow Auntie Tonya is coming to spend the day with you.
You are getting so big so fast baby girl! Your father and I love you to pieces and couldn't be happier now that you're with us. I love you so much, Rylee Carmella!!
